[Busmgrs] A message from Mari Sue Johnson: Actuals and ESD Direct Support Collections and Webinar Dates

Good afternoon all,


As we settle into the new fiscal year, here are some dates and links you may find of benefit in your work with the actuals:
1.      The  Actual Revenue and Expenditures 13-14 collections opened 10/9/14 and will close 12/29/14.
2.      Paper audits are due 1/2/15.  Please send to Mari Sue Johnson, Oregon Department of Education, 255 Capitol Street NE, Salem, OR 97310
3.      The ESD Direct Support 13-14 collection opens 11/13/14 and closes 12/29/14.
4.      The Actuals and ESD Direct Support 13-14 webinar will be held next Tuesday, October 21st, from 2:00-3:30.  The link is  https://district.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?id=236, then scroll down to Financial Reporting - Actuals and ESD Direct Support 13-14 - October 21, 2014.  I anticipate the webinar will last about 1 hour.  The link to the handouts will be sent next Monday.
5.      A-133 payments from ODE are posted in the Audit 133 Report at http://www.ode.state.or.us/apps/accountingservices/.

On a similar note, we are making good progress this year with the budget reviews and are working to have all reviews complete in November.  Of the 216 budgets under review, 55% are complete; 10% are under review; and 34% are awaiting review.  If you haven't heard from us yet, you will in the not too distant future.  My compliments on the quality budgets your offices produce.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for all you do for your districts.  I see on a daily basis the dedication and standard of excellence that drives LEA fiscal offices.
