[Busmgrs] 2013-14 Actual High Cost Disability Grant Payments

Dear Business Managers,

The 2013-14 High Cost Disability reconciliation has been posted to our website. It is available here: http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/misc/2013-14-hcd-actuals-4-14-15-1530hrs.pdf. This reconciles the estimated qualifying expenses for 2013-14 with what districts reported as actual expenses. The estimates were provided by districts in 2014 as part of the Estimate of Membership and Revenue collection. The actual expenses were reported by districts in March of this year.

As you can see the percent payout dropped significantly from the estimated amount. The estimated payout was about 42%. However, the actual payout is closer to 35%. This means that a lot of districts are going to see a negative adjustment to their High Cost Disability grants.
