[Busmgrs] 2014-15 Estimated High Cost Disability payments

Dear Business Managers,

The estimated 2014-15 reimbursements for the High Cost Disability Grant have been posted to our website. They are here: http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/misc/14-15-hcd-estimated-payments-4-14-15.pdf. These are the estimates that districts provided as part of their Estimate of Membership and Revenue collection in December 2014.

Please review these estimates carefully. It appears that the expenses for the state are being estimated as less than what actuals will be. This can result in negative adjustments when reconciled with actual expenses. In 2013-14 for example, expenses were estimated such that the payout rate was approximately 42%. However, actual expenses were much higher. This resulted in a payout rate of 35%.

If after reviewing these estimated expenses you would like to make adjustments, please let me know.
