[Busmgrs] July 2015 Common School Fund Payment

Dear Business Managers,

The second Common School Fund payment for 2014-15 has been issued by ODE. The payment information is on our website and available here: http://www.ode.state.or.us/services/ssf/misc/2014-15-csf-by-district-july-2015-7-15-15.pdf. The money should be in your accounts in the next few days.

Thank you to all of the districts that have let me know about Federal Forest Fees received in June. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to capture that information right now to minimize the adjustments that will occur during the reconciliation process. Thus, districts will need to assume they will be paying most of the funding back during the reconciliation.

Based on the information that I have received from the districts, it appears that the funding received in June is for the 2014-15 school year. That means that districts should receive federal forest fee money in 2015-16 as well. Thus, I strongly recommend that districts contact me so their Estimate of Membership and Revenue collection can be updated and they don't face a significant adjustment during the reconciliation period next year. If you believe that you need to update the collection, please let me know and I will reopen for you.

At this time I expect to issue a new estimate in August in time for the September payment. If you have any adjustments to make before that time, please let me know.
