[Busmgrs] OSCIM Application Period

Dear Business Managers,

I wanted to let everyone know that the OSCIM Program application window is fast approaching. ODE will begin to accept applications at 8:00 am (Pacific Time) on Friday, January 15. We would prefer that districts submit applications through secure file transfer to ode.schoolfacilities at state.or.us<mailto:ode.schoolfacilities at state.or.us>. The secure file transfer<https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/xfers/> link can be found on the right hand side of this webpage: https://district.ode.state.or.us/home/.

Please note that you will need to submit a completed application<http://www.ode.state.or.us/wma/sf/oscim-application-form.pdf>. This means you will need the application form<http://www.ode.state.or.us/wma/sf/oscim-application-form.pdf> and any supporting documents submitted before your application can be considered. If an application is not submitted in complete form it cannot be considered. We will contact each district that submits an application to let them know we have received the application.

Once OSCIM Program commitments are determined, each district will receive a letter outlining the next steps in the process. These steps include, among other things, agreeing to a grant agreement with ODE. A generic version of the grant agreement will be posted on ODE's website in a couple of weeks.

I would like to clear up one point of confusion with the application. In question #3, ODE is asking districts to describe the projects that are going to be completed with bond proceeds. The goal of this question is to know how districts plan to use the bond proceeds.
