Here is the starting point for tomorrow's meeting. It is a basic logic model specific to our coalition and the types of activities we are working on. Could you send this out with the agenda for the meeting so people can get a peek at it.

Attitude among poor that they cannot improve their condition

Agencies and Businesses assume new employees understand scheduling and have the same priorities as they do

Lack of knowledge about how poverty limits the ability of parents to change conditions that contribute to Child abuse and neglect

Education

Bridges Conferences to reach a broad cross-section of the community - Agencies, healthcare, business community, leaders, etc

Have # conferences to reach the critical sectors of the community

Hold GH training for employers with ##% agreeing they will implement

Hold GH Training for community members/employees with ##% demonstrating

Send # delegates to the national Bridges conference who can return and act as Champions

Have # employers send staff to GH TOT to use in implementation

Share information about Bridges and GH with community to increase participation by employers, community members, and agencies

Increase the number of people in community aware of Bridges, GH, and how poverty can be a barrier to positive change

People in poverty hired for open positions at a higher rate

Lower unemployment among the poor

Employers are more easily able to recruit qualified staff

Employers demonstrate reduced cost of training and retention

Reduce the rate of child abuse and neglect in the county
