The Ford Family Foundation:
Diane received an email from the Ford Family Foundation regarding their process for applying for grants.
* Kelly previously contacted the Ford Family Foundation regarding a potential contribution to CAPP.
* Committee members want to be sure that when CAPP applies for a grant that we make it clear that the request is for CAPP and not for the Family Development Center.
* Kelly will respond to TFFF to thank them for their correspondence and to let them know about CAPP's future strategic plan.
Additional Contacts:
Kelly has contacted local Churches, Cow Creek Tribe, and Fred Meyers for donations. Cow Creek has responded and no specific donations have yet been discussed.
Barry will be contacting the local animal clubs such as the Elks and Moose Lodge.
Diane will contact Stash Teas.
Bridges Out of Poverty Conference:
Kelly asked group if they wanted Jasmine's to include bottled water with the lunch. The lunch from Jasmine's will cost $6.00 per person or $5.00 w/o a beverage. Jasmine's will provide a buffet style luncheon. They will set up and clean up. They can serve lemonade and water. The menu would be brown or white rice, curry topping meat or vegetarian-no tofu, green salad and rolls. The committee talked about providing the plates, napkins, and utensils. A deposit is required and a written agreement must be given. Diane P is going to go look at the facility and tablecloths and make a decision about round or rectangular tables. Round tables will not allow for seating of 200 people.
Fiscal Sponsorship:
Letters were drafted by Jerry and Barry to the FDC and United Way. Elizabeth Droscher provided editing and input. Some committee members only saw one letter and would like to see the second letter. They wondered about the tone of the draft letters. Those who saw the draft letters felt the tone was good. The letter to FDC is appreciative of the current and past relationship and expresses appreciation. The letters will be sent out to the committee members again for further review.
