Subject: Douglas County "Flight Team"

Crisis Response is something we hope we never need here in our county. However, if we need it, preparation needs to start before the crisis occurs.

Cherie Lovre provides trainings around the country on Crisis Response or "Flight Team" as it is called. Some of you may have heard about this training when it was scheduled for December. Due to the low number of signups it was rescheduled for February 5-7 at the Douglas ESD. Details and costs are on the flyer. FYI - There is a discount for a second staff member.

I was asked to help promote this training and would ask any of you to consider if you have staff or colleagues who would benefit from this training and please forward this information to them.

This training does not obligate participants to be a member or of the Douglas County "Flight Team".   It is the training members receive to serve on the team. Other requirements and criteria may exist, so if you or someone you know is interested in participating as a member of the county Flight Team please contact Pat Sublette who heads up the county Flight Team and can answer any questions. The Flight Team is activated when a crisis occurs, such as a death of a student or staff member in a school district. Members provide support for students and staff as they are dealing with feelings of grief and loss.
