CDP Members: Sharing Cybersecurity Awareness Month resources from the state. The resources are available for your use as well.



Governor Kate Brown has proclaimed October 2022 to be Cybersecurity Awareness Month, encouraging all Oregonians to learn about cybersecurity and put that knowledge into practice in their homes, schools, workplaces, and businesses.

In support of the Governor's proclamation, Enterprise Information Services Cyber Security Services (CSS) works toward the following objectives:

  *   Improve the security culture of the enterprise.
  *   Reduce cybersecurity risk by increasing awareness of cybersecurity.
  *   Reduce human vulnerabilities that could result in a breach of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of state information assets, thereby increasing the overall security posture of the state.

CSS is responsible for providing resources related to Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Agencies are responsible to incorporate the awareness and training content into their training program; support, disseminate, and publish the materials; and provide time for staff to participate.

CSS is providing a Cybersecurity Awareness Kit built by Knowbe4. The kit contains a set of resources to use throughout the entire month of October to help users keep up their cybersecurity defenses, no matter where or how they work.
