The Cybersecurity and Career Readiness Training and Certification Program, supported by the National Institute of Standards Technology, is designed to help participants build foundational cybersecurity knowledge and develop practical skills for real-world applications. The training is free and eligible trainees may receive a $500 scholarship. The training is offered by faculty from Rowan University, Stevens Institute of Technology, as well as industry experts from the American Bureau of Shipping and others.

Delivered in a live online format, the program covers core topics such as cybersecurity fundamentals, critical infrastructure systems, and applied case studies, along with professional development in communication, teamwork, and career preparation.

The program is designed to provide an accessible entry point into cybersecurity for learners from a wide range of backgrounds, and no prior coursework, technical background, or professional experience in cybersecurity is required. Open to learners from diverse backgrounds, this training provides an accessible pathway into cybersecurity.

The training is expected to run from mid-April to the end of May, with roughly one 3-hour module per week.
