Hello,

This email is to provide further clarification on the NA level one and the CNA 2 curriculum revision transition plan. There is always a transition period when we adopt new curriculum content. I trust the information below will help you plan for your program's transition.

You may teach under your current Board approval until March 1, 2015. The new curriculums are effective January 1, 2015 so you may add the new curriculum content into your instruction between January 1st and March 1st 2015. All current Board approved training programs have until March 1, 2015, to get their curriculum revision(s) approved to remain an active program. March 1, 2015 is the must implement date for the revised curriculums to meet the Board approved curriculums effective January 1, 2015. All complete program revisions (that meet the Board requirements) submitted for approval prior to February 1, 2015, do not have to pay the $75 revision fee and will be approved by March 1, 2015. Program revisions received in the Board office after February 1, 2015, will have to pay the $75 revision fee and there is no guarantee of approval before March 1, 2015. Although, I assure you, we will do our best to review all program revisions in the shortest turnaround time possible. Any program who has not completed the approval of a revised curriculum by March 1, 2015, will be placed on inactive status pending the approval of curriculum revision.

New programs without current Board approval need to submit an application that meets the January 1, 2015 curriculum standards and receive Board approval before advertising or starting a training program.

Tis the season to celebrate with family and friends and not the time be tied to your computer rewriting curriculums before the end of the year. I will be out of the office from December 25, 2014-January 12, 2015. However, I will be checking in with Nancy occasionally while I am out of the office. I look forward to reviewing your program's curriculums upon my return. I really appreciate the dedication of each and every one of you. Happy Holidays. Debbie
