[Cnaprogram] CNA Exam Changes effective September 1, 2015

Tomorrow, September 1, 2015, the CNA Competency Exam changes will be implemented.  The Oregon Nursing Assistant Candidate Handbook was revised to reflect the changes and has been posted at http://hdmaster.com/testing/cnatesting/oregon/orformpages/ORCandidateHandbookSept.pdf since June 2015<http://hdmaster.com/testing/cnatesting/oregon/orformpages/ORCandidateHandbookSept.pdf%20since%20June%202015>.  Training program faculty have been preparing students for the changes over the last couple of months. Attached are the revised Skill Test Instructions.  These instructions are to be shared with students.  They will be posted on the Headmaster website later today.

I believe we are ready for this change.  A big thank you to those Test Advisory Panel members who were brave enough to suggest these changes.  I believe eliminating the verbalization of handwashing and actually demonstrating proper hand hygiene will be positively reflected in the work settings.
