The use of individualized self-care techniques is vital to those who are impacted by trauma and toxic stress in their home, community or work environments.

During this session we will look at the mind-body connection to trauma and toxic stress, as well as explore a variety of self-care tools that can be used.

Learning outcomes:

  *   Understand the impact of addressing suicide means through local and national data, relevant research, and practice
  *   Learn the most effective ways to address means with individuals who own firearms through interactive case studies,
  *   video demonstrations, and practice scenarios
  *   Build confidence in conducting lethal means counseling related to firearms, medications, and other means with
  *   clients at risk of suicide
  *   Gain research-based tools for both providers and clients

In this training we will be look at the relationship and interpersonal struggles that can happen on teams within the core roles, such as family partners youth partners and care coordinators or family partners and case managers. Together we will also explore effective collaborative conflict techniques.
