Hello District 5 Self-Sufficiency/Child Welfare Staff and Community Partners,

Tuesday Tidbits are short, specific info bites you can use and share to increase collective knowledge of Lane County's wide-ranging community resource landscape.
Below you will find Mental and Physical Health resources being offered in and for our local community.

[cid:image005.jpg at 01DAE813.2C8DBCC0]The NAACP is hosting a Health Fair and Resource Give-Away on August 23, 4:30-8pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 255 Maxwell Rd, Eugene.
They will be offering Free Acupuncture, No Cost Health Screenings, and more!

to #trans<https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/trans/> folks who cannot afford gender-affirming health and wellness services that
fall outside of their existing programs.

Applications will be accepted August 1-31.

Applicants can request up to $2500 for their unique care needs.

[cid:image011.jpg at 01DAE813.2C8DBCC0]Lane County is working on opening a stabilization center and the county is holding listening sessions to get feedback from the community on August 21st, 3:30-5pm, at Looking Glass, 1666 W 12th Ave, Eugene.
Please see the attached flyer to learn more. Space is limited and registration is required.
Youth and Young Adults will be compensated for their time!

[cid:image012.png at 01DAE813.2C8DBCC0]Mobile Crisis Services of Lane County (MCS-LC) will be holding Information Sessions to help the community learn more about how MCS-LC can help you or someone you know who is experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The sessions will provide a deeper understanding of their services and how they are working to improve behavioral health care in Lane County.

If you would like to learn more about MCS-LC, here is a listing of in-person and virtual informational sessions:
