BLACK CULTURAL INITIATIVE PRESENTS THE COOKOUT

Black Cultural Initiative will have a cookout on Saturday, August 24th, 5 pm-9 pm.
This event is family-friendly and will have food, music, games, and a backpack and school supplies giveaway.

El Centro de Bienvenida de 4J está aquí para ayudarlos con recursos en la comunidad, comunicación con las escuelas, y con inscripciones. Si usted conoce a alguna familia que acaba de llegar a este país y tienen niños con edad escolar, favor de compartir nuestra información con ellos. Nosotros los podemos ayudar a inscribir a sus hijos en nuestras escuelas y también los podemos conectar con recursos. Este servicio está disponible para todas las familias de 4J. Durante el año escolar también estaremos ofreciendo eventos culturales.

Family Check-Up is a free service for families with kids ages 2 to 17.

Appointments are virtual so can be accessed using a smart phone or a laptop. Families complete an assessment and are given feedback on ways to strengthen their relationship with their children. Parents are also connected to community resources as needed.

Families receive a $50 gift card to Fred Meyer after attending each of the three appointments offered.

This service is available to members of the Lane County Coordinated Care Organization (Trillium Community Health Plan or Pacific Source Community Solutions).

Head Start of Lane County has openings in their Natives Classroom at B Street in Springfield.
We prioritize children and families who are eligible for Head Start services and self-identify as AI/ AN or Indigenous. Families applying for this classroom may live anywhere in Lane County, as long as they are able to transport to Springfield.
Additionally, at this time, we are looking to hire AI/ AN or Indigenous identifying staff for this classroom!

We invite children and youth age 18 and younger to eat free lunch during the summer months. Employees serve meals at parks and community centers located throughout Lane County. Each Summer, FFLC serves thousands of lunches to children through this Program!
