The hundreds of lesbians who migrated to Eugene, Oregon from the 1960’s-80’s agreed on one thing: everything was going to be different.

A FREE University of Oregon screening on Sunday Feb 2nd in Straub Hall that includes filmmakers and participants. No tickets necessary. Filmmakers and participants will be on hand for a Q&A after the screening.

When temperatures fall below 30 degrees and Egan Warming Centers open, Catholic Community Services may provide motel shelter for homeless families with children under 18, subject to funding and motel vacancy.

Attached is the referral form for the 2024-2025 Catholic Community Services Extreme Weather Program<https://www.ccslc.org/need-help>. This form is intended to be filled out by the referring agency. Complete the forms and email to xweather at ccslc.org<mailto:xweather at ccslc.org>

ALL ADULTS MUST:

  *   Read and sign the rules/responsibilities
  *   Follow all of the rules
  *   Include a copy of ID for all adults
     *   All adults must have ID, it is a requirement- NO EXCEPTIONS
        *   CCS can often help with obtaining state ID

Once CCS receives this form, they will reach out to the clients to verify and confirm enrollment, and explain how it works when there is an Egan activation. CCS encourages families who might need help this Winter to enroll ahead of time. It makes the process faster when activations occur. When the time comes if they don't need help, they just let us know.

Please be aware that this is a very small program staffed by one person, so response times could take a bit. Also, program activation depends on motel availability, funding and staffing.

Lane Transit District (LTD) offers free bus rides to individuals traveling to Egan Warming Centers<https://www.svdp.us/services/shelter-assistance/egan-warming-centers/> when overnight temperatures are forecasted to drop below 30°F.

To utilize this service, inform the bus operator that your destination is an Egan Warming Center. Please note that free rides are available only when the centers are activated.

This website is intended to help those in our community seeking shelter either for themselves, or for someone else, know what shelters have beds available on a given night and what criteria there are for accessing those shelters.

Those accessing the site can filter through the shelters based on unique needs and be pointed in the direction of those shelters that best meet those needs. Additionally, by clicking on the bed icons located on the embedded map, site visitors can see information about the shelters including pictures, intake information, what they can expect when accessing and other important details.
