Hello District 5 Self-Sufficiency/Child Welfare Staff and Community Partners,

Tuesday Tidbits are short, specific info bites you can use and share to increase collective knowledge of Lane County's wide-ranging community resource landscape. Below you will find Mental and Physical Health resources being offered in and for our local community.

[cid:image005.jpg at 01DADCE4.46643F00]Jodi Allard, a Housing Liaison with Sponsors, Inc. and Alina “Lily” Ames, a Peer Support Specialist with Emergence Addiction and Behavioral Therapies have shared the lists they have put together that includes many different Sober Living Housing options in Lane County.
Please see the attached lists: Sober Living Housing, Recovery Housing Document, and Oxford House Names and Addresses.
Thank you Jodi and Lily for your work and contributions to support the community!!

[cid:image006.png at 01DADCE0.F74EC2D0]Lane County is making significant changes to the services for our crisis response (CAHOOTS).
First the change:

  * Effective immediately, Lane County Behavioral Health’s (LCBH) County-wide crisis line has changed to 541-682-1001.
  * White Bird Clinic is no longer providing this service for the county, and this new line is live and ready to receive calls.
  * Please change this number on your referral lists, websites, outgoing voicemails, and other places where the old number may be posted.
  * The broader 988 suicide and crisis lifeline remains active and appropriate to list as an additional resource to our local crisis line above.
Now the addition!

  * Beginning in mid-August 2024*, Lane County Behavioral Health is starting the phased launch of their new program: Mobile Crisis Services of Lane County (MCS-LC). We will begin offering services from 2pm-11pm, expanding coverage throughout the summer and fall.
  * MCS-LC is a program of Lane County Behavioral Health certified to provide Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (MCIS) (OAR 309, Division 72) care, and will be providing adult mobile crisis response to all citizens of Lane County, regardless of location. Existing youth mobile crisis response remains available through Riverview Center for Growth (formerly The Child Center).

     * MCS-LC will have 6 vans, each one able to respond county-wide to support capacity across the county. They will be stationed in the following locations to support compliant response times, even in rural areas of the county:

        *   Eugene/Springfield
        *   Junction City
        *   Cottage Grove
        *   Goshen
        *   Walterville

  * MCS-LC is part of an expanded crisis continuum, that will coordinate/collaborate with the Forensic Intensive Treatment Team (FITT), Eugene Police Departments Co-responder program, and CAHOOTS which will continue to provide street outreach and basic life support services in the metro area.
  * In Lane County, folks experiencing or witnessing a behavioral health crisis have multiple options for reaching out for assistance. These include 988, 911, police non-emergency lines, or their trusted behavioral health practitioner.
  * MCS-LC has been working closely with 988, 911, and dispatch partner, Lane County Sheriff’s Office, to ensure that calls are properly triaged to MCS-LC. If your client, or a caller to your crisis line, needs behavioral health care please direct them to 988 or the county crisis line (541-682-1001).

     * If you determine that a client in need requires a face-to-face mobile crisis response, please contact the Sheriff’s Office dispatch at 541-682-4141 (public) or 541-682-4150, select Option 1 (backline, not for public). They will immediately dispatch MCS-LC.

  * MCS-LC partners at 988, 911, and the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch agency are all skilled in triaging behavioral health crisis calls and will transfer the call to the appropriate agency, ensuring that the individual’s needs are met in the best way possible.
  * If you have mobile crisis services listed in your referral lists, websites, or other places, please add Mobile Crisis Services of Lane County:

     * To access crisis support, contact LCBH’s County-wide Crisis Line: 541-682-1001
     * To access mobile crisis response, contact MCS-LC via Sheriff’s Office dispatch: 541-682-4141.
Please see the attached flyer, Mobile Crisis Services of Lane County.
