Peers.net is a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform where teenagers and young adults (aged 12 to 30) can book a 1 on 1 (chat/ video/ audio session) with a professional peer supporter of their choice within <24 hours. Peers.net recently contracted with PacificSource OHP, which means all of your 12-30 year old clients on PacificSource OHP can now access free peer support through https://peers.net/LCM. Any clients not on PacificSource OHP, can apply for financial assistance here.<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdCIIKNoFgwkYi--14vy5kVbggaYQQQkGG-lQya6KR2INUjkw/viewform>
Peers.net currently works with organizations to support the mental health needs of 12-30-year-olds in several ways:
1. Step-down care after an emergency department visit, a hospitalization, or a PHP or IOP program.
2. Fast access to high-value mental health support while the patient is awaiting a visit with a QMHP or licensed provider.
3. Peer support to keep young people with complex or severe mental health needs engaged with their care teams, increasing adherence to treatment recommendations.
4. Additional support in between sessions or after sessions. Peers.net is open 9am - midnight PST.
5. Standalone behavioral health support
More information about their company and services can be found here, on the attached flyer or by reaching out to Hannah Schilpp (hannah at flourishlabs.net).
