Families Connected will host a parent training on May 16 led by two mothers who have taught their children with autism how to type to communicate.

The class will be led by Sunshine Bodey and Jessica Cagle Faber and their children, Lief and Sophia.

Participants are invited to email Sunshine<mailto:Sunshine at unnaturalsupports.com> with questions in advance of the training and a small group of spellers will share their answers on video during the training.

Dinner and childcare will be provided at the in-person training. RSVP in advance.






[cid:image005.png at 01DA9AFD.DF375600]UPDATE! CENTER FOR FAMILY DEVELOPMENT: POSITIVE SOLUTIONS FOR FAMILIES

The group focuses specifically on managing challenging behaviors using positive discipline strategies and proactive approaches to parenting. Session content covers information about understanding challenging behaviors, developing consistent and logical consequences, building positive relationships, implementing successful family routines, and teaching self-regulation and emotion regulation strategies to children.

Parents may also receive a certificate of completion. This group is FREE for all participants thanks to a grant from the Early Childhood Hub of Lane County.

WHEN: Starting Wednesdays May 8th, 12 – 2pm
