[cid:image013.jpg at 01DB248D.3089D690]Lane County and PeaceHealth are teaming up to construct a new, cutting-edge behavioral health campus on International Way in Springfield.
This location is strategically chosen for its easy accessibility and will provide seamless support for community members and crisis response teams, including Mobile Crisis Services of Lane County (MCS-LC) and other crisis service providers.
The campus will offer comprehensive services, including PeaceHealth's Behavioral Health Hospital (BHH) for inpatient care and the Lane Stabilization Center (LSC). The LSC will provide a safe alternative to emergency rooms or jails for individuals in crisis and support those needing behavioral health stabilization, ensuring that all behavioral needs are met.
This partnership will provide much-needed access to behavioral services to meet the community's growing needs.
For more information about the Lane Stabilization Center, go to: https://www.lanecountyor.gov/stabilizationcenter
MCS-LC is available 7 days a week, from 2 PM to 11 PM Services can be accessed by calling or texting 988 or contacting the Lane County Crisis Line at 541-682-1001.

[cid:image015.jpg at 01DB248D.3089D690] Medicare open enrollment, which runs from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7, is a crucial time for people in Oregon to review and adjust their Medicare health coverage<https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fshiba.oregon.gov%2Fmedicare-65%2FPages%2Findex.aspx%3Futm_medium=email%26utm_source=govdelivery/1/010101929d5a4058-ff73cd42-66df-4921-a921-2f5a2986f6fe-000000/2lWsLV-4NFOqo9TKK2JnPb77j8dvp3MGu1sx-hy3bwI=375> for the following calendar year.
During the open enrollment period, Medicare recipients can:

  * Switch between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans.
  * Change from one Medicare Advantage plan to another.
  * Join, switch or drop a Medicare drug plan (Part D).
This year, Medicare open enrollment is even more important as many people face changes in their Oregon Health Plan (OHP/Medicaid) coverage due to the end of the federal public health emergency. After losing OHP, people on Medicare should consider their plan choices, such as a Medicare Advantage plan, Medigap policy, or Part D prescription drug coverage.
This blog will also tell you about OHP and Medicaid programs that can help with Medicare costs: BLOG: How to navigate your Medicare open enrollment decisions<https://links-2.govdelivery.com/CL0/https:%2F%2Fcovidblog.oregon.gov%2Fmedicare-open-enrollment-what-you-need-to-know%2F%3Futm_medium=email%26utm_source=govdelivery/2/010101929d5a4058-ff73cd42-66df-4921-a921-2f5a2986f6fe-000000/YlDuyQNTPRerNOtu2IYPdQy7lA8ZOF8S88gfUncWAYM=375>
