Children must be 5 years and older to attend. The respite program is open to all families in Lane County who have a child with a developmental disability, mental health or behavioral concern AND their siblings!

Calling all youth advocates! Join the School Meals for All coalition for a Youth Advocacy Training on January 27th. Learn how to share your story to make a difference and help ensure that no student goes hungry at school.

This youth-led training will be a vital kick-off to Oregon’s legislative session. We are gearing up for a season of food justice advocacy at the Capitol and we hope you will be a part of the movement alongside us!

Everyone is welcome – educators, parents, youth, and all community voices.

  *   Building positive relationships
  *   Implementing successful family routines

Our local nonprofit Honoring Our New Ethnic Youth H.O.N.E.Y. Inc.<https://www.honeynonprofit.org/> has been awarded the African American/Black Student Success grant<https://www.oregon.gov/ode/students-and-family/equity/africanamericanblackstudenteducation/pages/african-americanblack-student-success-grantees.aspx> from the Oregon Department of Education.

This exciting opportunity will enable the Black Early Learning Program<https://www.earlychildhoodlane.org/black-early-learning> and H.O.N.E.Y. Inc. to reach and engage more African American (AA)/Black youth and includes African, African Diaspora, and those mixed with AA/Black ethnicities. Black Early Learning Program funding and programming will now be a part of H.O.N.E.Y. Inc. so expect to see a lot of collaboration!

HOOTS<https://whitebirdclinic.org/hoots> program is a free, confidential and voluntary service. They talk about mental health concerns, hard life events and medical issues. They work in teams of two: a crisis counselor and a medic (EMT or RN).

Send students to HOOTS<https://whitebirdclinic.org/hoots> if they struggle with anxiety, depression, self-harm, or suicidal ideation; they are experiencing big life changes or challenges such as housing or food insecurity; or they just need another safe person to talk to.
