Social Services Specialist 1/Permanency-Teen Unit position
The Child Welfare Program in District 5 has been granted permission to fill one
Part-Time (.5 FTE) This position will be working with Lane County Teen Units. Youth who experience the Child Welfare system experience barriers to permanency, placement stability and supportive connections to their family systems.  We are looking to enhance youth specific engagement, support and planning for teens and young adults who are being served in the foster care system.  This position will focus on identifying access to needed services and supports, engaging youth and family systems to build and sustain relationships, develop strategies to support placement stability and explore creative solutions to independent living.  This work will be prioritized for youth in Temporary Lodging and at risk for temporary lodging. This position will join a cohesive and supportive team serving youth experiencing the foster care system.
The position will be located in beautiful Eugene, Oregon.
