Oregon Health Authority<https://www.oregon.gov/oha/pages/index.aspx> (OHA) is partnering with The Trevor Project<https://www.thetrevorproject.org/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery> during the spring months to offer allyship training for individuals working with youth, as well as family and friends interested in learning.
This training is designed to create dialogue around being an ally for LGBTQ+ young people. We will learn about common LGBTQ+ terminology, understand the "coming out" process, and the challenges LGBTQ+ youth face at home, in school and within the community. The training is live and virtual, and there are three options for participating. People are welcome to attend more than one session.

Did you have to throw away food purchased with SNAP due to the recent storm Feb 24? The usual 10-day timeline to request replacement benefits has been extended for Oregonians from certain counties.
Counties approved in waiver: Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Coos, Deschutes, Douglas, Hood River, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, and Washington.
Extended Deadline: March 26, 2025
Verification: Households in the above counties are not required to provide verification. These counties were identified using power outage data.
