For ages 10 – 18. With 17 countries in west Africa, there is a huge variety of foods to explore on this part of the continent. One famous meal is Jollof rice, and it has a variety of versions from different countries. We will be making the Nigerian version today.

WHEN: June 23 – August 22, 9am – 4pm

H.O.N.E.Y. Inc.<https://www.honeynonprofit.org/> is offering a summer multicultural enrichment academy for elementary (1st-5th), middle and high school aged leaders (youth and teens) and is primarily for those who identify as multiracial or ethnically diverse yet all are welcome and encouraged to attend. This is an opportunity for multiracial, African American/Black, Native, Latine and Immigrant/Refugee youth to come together and experience being in the majority.

Activities will be separated by age group in separate rooms. Multi-culture Enrichment Academy will be a fun, exciting yet rigorous summer opportunity to connect with others, be in a space with others who look like you to  improve academic, life and leadership skills, engage in cultural enrichment activities.

The cost is $125 per week. There are sliding scale and scholarship options available.

TransPonder is proud to announce a sneak peek of the upcoming Youth Empowerment Project (YEP!) - a pilot initiative designed to empower LGBTQ2+ youth with essential skills in leadership, advocacy, mentorship, and community building.

This pilot project is currently available for High School youth who wish to learn how to advocate for themselves, practice educational justice, and address systemic inequities. The pilot includes 6 leadership modules and 2 community engagement opportunities.

TransPonder will provide workshops, optional board meetings, and advocacy sessions with educational leaders. Mentorship provided, and peer support is available.  Services are free!

Disability Rights Oregon developed this new guide to empower families with essential knowledge about:

Connected Lane County<https://connectedlane.org/?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIhOvw_NOCjAMVHDStBh022i58EAAYASAAEgJjJvD_BwE> is pleased to announce the availability of Direct Cash Transfers as Prevention (DCT-P) funds to support young people at risk of experiencing homelessness. Through the State of Oregon’s Youth Experiencing Homelessness Program, we have received $100,000 in funding, which will allow us to assist at least 33 youth in Lane County with one-time cash payments aimed at stabilizing housing crises.

We are now accepting referrals<https://go.connectedlane.org/dctp> from youth-serving organizations. Referral partners must complete an intake form on behalf of young people aged 16-24 who are at risk of becoming unhoused. Please note that submission of the form does not guarantee funding, as each application will be reviewed for eligibility. After review, the referral partner and the client will receive an email with further guidance.
