WHEN: Open May 1 – May 30th, 4pm

Firewise grants offer homeowners in rural Lane County financial assistance to make their homes better able to survive wildfires. To qualify for the Firewise Grant, applicants must own a home outside of an urban growth boundary in Lane County that's in an area at risk of wildfire.

If you are a trans or nonbinary adult currently living in the United States, you may be eligible for a paid research study being conducted by transmasculine nonbinary doctoral student Jamie Taber and the Baruch College Sexual and Gender Minority Health (SGMH) lab! Participation will involve completing a 30-minute online survey to test and provide feedback on a new measure of trans-specific experiences with dissociation, which we recently created in collaboration with trans focus group members. We are especially interested in the perspectives of Black, Indigenous, and other trans people of color. If you are eligible, complete a brief Zoom verification call, and complete the full survey, you will receive a $10 electronic gift card.⁠

Many have asked how changes at the federal level may affect Oregon. Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) are following the changes and have created webpages for the public that will show any important changes.

This website is intended to help those in our community seeking shelter either for themselves, or for someone else, know what shelters have beds available on a given night and what criteria there are for accessing those shelters.

Those accessing the site can filter through the shelters based on unique needs and be pointed in the direction of those shelters that best meet those needs. Additionally, by clicking on the bed icons located on the embedded map, site visitors can see information about the shelters including pictures, intake information, what they can expect when accessing and other important details.
