Her work “indigenizes fitness,” using the drumbeat and grounded movement to support healing from historical and intergenerational trauma. Then we will share a meal and turn it up with DJ Kunu Bearchum (HoChunk/N. Cheyenne) bringing the dance party vibes 🎶🔥 Dancing is healing! Joy is infectious!

This group supports perinatal and early postpartum (~6 months) individuals with:

-Managing mood in pregnancy and postpartum
-Supporting baby’s development and learning
-Utilizing supports effectively
-Communication with supports
-Identifying supportive activities to do with baby and alone to minimize depression
-Coping skills for unhelpful thinking patterns

The program serves two distinct cohorts (high school students ages 14–18) and (young adults ages 18–24)—offering tailored experiences that promote community building and self-empowerment skills. The module will provide six training sessions, and two opportunities to attend government meetings. Each cohort meets weekly.
