I have received quite a few questions about the below email. To clarify,
the 'Sync with Database' function does not affect the data within your
query.
The main focus of this process is to make sure new fields that are added
to the Datamart are available for use in older queries. In addition,
there could be many other changes to the Datamart, such as new indexing,
a field size change, etc, which are not available in an old file. Again,
this function will help your queries run at optimal levels.
Thanks,

Subject: [Datamart-News] Datamart helpful hints - Sync with Database
Hello Datamart Users:
Just a friendly reminder that the Datamart tables (ex. 'All Acct Event',
'Agency', etc.) within your queries might not be fully up-to-date.
However, to resolve this issue, all you have to do is complete a very
quick 'Sync with Database' process.
To 'Sync with Database':
1) Open a 'bqy' file.
2) Click on a query section.
3) Click on the menu item called 'DataModel'.
4) Select the option 'Sync with Database'
5) You will receive a prompt to log into an Open Catalog Extension
(oce). Select an oce (if not automatically provided) and log in with
your Datamart information.
Once the 'Sync with Database' process is complete, you should receive a
popup menu showing you how many fields were updated or a message saying
'Data Model hasn't been changed'.
Going forward, the 'Sync with Database' function, should be done on a
period basis (recommended once a quarter). This function helps insure
your queries are running at optimal level and are in sync with the
Datamart.
Note: If your file has multiple queries, you must select each query
separately and complete the full 'Sync with Database' process.
Thanks and have a great day.
