Datamart users,
I wanted to follow up on my previous email about the level 4 security data changes in the Datamart. This information could touch a lot of various processes, so I want to make sure everyone is on the same page, when the change-over occurs on May 4, 2018.
Here is the main overview of the coding changes to the load process:
If the 'Vendor Number' field begins with '9', '7' or '4' the following information will no longer be loaded to the Datamart: Vendor Number, Vendor Address (1-4), Vendor City, Vendor State, & Vendor Zip Code. These changes will occur within the Accounting Event, Payment Control, Contract and Doc Financial tables.
Some agencies have provided very specific alterations/additions to the information above. This will help eliminate all level 4 data in the Datamart. If you believe your agency has some additional information, which needs to be disclosed or removed, please let us know.
In addition, due to level 4 data no longer being in the Datamart, it will allow us to remove 'special views'. Therefore, the following views will no longer be needed or available:

Subject: [Datamart-News] Level 4 security data removal project
It has come to our attention that the policies surrounding level 4 security (Statewide Asset Classification Policy http://www.oregon.gov/das/Policies/107-004-050.pdf) have become stricter and will start to require a lot more administration. Therefore, the Datamart Admin, along with agency help, have been hard at work reviewing all the level 4 security data within the Datamart. The current project was created to help remove all level 4 security data from the Datamart. This will help keep costs down, as well as, prevent massive changes to security access when using the Datamart.
The Datamart admin is well aware that some agencies still need to view the level 4 security data. If so desired, agencies can work with DAS SFMS to obtain a data extract and continue to view high security data directly from RSTARS.
Not all agencies have level 4 data; however, the main agencies that are affected have been alerted about the change and are working toward creating extracts, if desired. In addition, there is still a lot of time for any other agency to create such data extracts, as the removal of level 4 data will take place the evening of May 4, 2018. This will coincide with the Datamart archive process.
Thanks for your patience with this project and please feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks again,
Aaron Wallace
