[Datamart-News] OBIEE (ASO and security form update)

Hello ASOs,

We'd like to thank you all for your efforts in working with Systems Security to implement new processes regarding OBIEE. We have appreciated your flexibility and patience as we navigate the implementation of a new security system. We have a few updates we'd like to inform you of regarding OBIEE requests sent to the Systems Security Inbox.


1.       There will be a new version of the OBIEE single user and multi user request forms coming soon. Systems Security will send out a notification via the ASO listserv once the new forms are published on our website. Once published, we ask you use the most updated version of the form when turning in OBIEE user request forms.


2.       If an OBIEE user has changed positions and/or received a new RACF all while staying with the same agency, a new OBIEE request form is not required. However, if the user no longer needs their original OBIEE access because of their new positon or RACF, it is the responsibility of the OBIEE ASO to notify Systems Security that access needs to be revoked. This can be completed by filling out the OBIEE request form and selecting the 'revoke' option in the drop-downs menus.


3.       It is the responsibility of the agency ASO to let any new OBIEE users for their agency know that access has been successfully granted. The following verbiage may be used as a template when letting new OBIEE users know how to access OBIEE for the first time:

If the user is within an agency that is considered 'sync' (auto update in Shared AD), they will use their email ending in "@oregon.gov" to log into the system. The password will be in-sync with their work computer.

If the user is within an agency that is considered 'non-sync' (new to the Shared AD), they will use their email ending in "_SS at oregon.gov<mailto:_SS at oregon.gov>" (example: John.Smith_SS at oregon.gov<mailto:John.Smith_SS at oregon.gov>). The password will be obtained through the OBIEE password site (https://pwm.ets.oregon.gov/PMUser<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpwm.ets.oregon.gov%2FPMUser&data=04%7C01%7CSusan.A.Taylor%40ojd.state.or.us%7C067e56f8464546a0dd3b08d8b7431481%7C6133ec89e51b4a1c8b6815e86de71f8f%7C0%7C0%7C637460846045923656%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=Xe0tpRP%2FMild5kvOobcSEyAJkdSFzmMCazIqo4h7WS4%3D&reserved=0>). The password needs to be updated every 90 days.
