[Datamart-News] New Payroll usage field

The SFMS team is rolling out a new payroll usage field in RSTARS, please see the main details in the below email. This field will also be coming to the Datamart and will be initially loaded the weekend of Dec 5 and available Monday, Dec 6, 2021.  We plan to load the OBIEE Subject Area approximately a week later.

Please make sure to review all your internal load processes that may be affected by this change.

Subject: [SFMS-News] New PYRL field on Index, PCA, Project, Grant profiles

Good afternoon everyone,

We have added a new field to some of the RSTARS profiles.  The new field PYRL will be available effective today & it can be found on the lower right of the profile screens.  This field is one of the preparations SFMS has been working on in anticipation of moving to Workday Payroll.  The PYRL field is an indicator of if agency staff should have that profile available to use in Workday Payroll in 2022.

The following profiles will be affected:
Index Code Profile  (24 screen)
PCA - Program Cost Account Profile (26 screen)
Project Control Profile (27 screen)
Grant Control Profile (29 screen)

Important things to know about the PYRL field:

  *   The PYRL field is a Y/N indicator, and will default to N if not filled.
  *   All existing profiles were initially set to N when the field is added.
  *   A mass update of all profiles used on tcode 850 during July- September will be applied to update the indicator to Y.
  *   The indicator should be Y for profiles used in payroll coding.
  *   SFMS will be working with agencies to provide an additional opportunity for a mass update of the PYRL field on profiles.

The new field will be presented at the User Group meeting on 11/2/21, along with how SFMS will be assisting agencies to do a mass update.
