[Datamart-News] Important OBIEE reminder

OBIEE users,

I wanted to send a reminder about an important OBIEE feature. You may have already completed this step based on earlier communications, but it’s worth double‑checking because it can significantly reduce query time in OBIEE.

All users need to make a specific setting change in their own OBIEE accounts. This update must be completed individually, so please follow the instructions below.

This change is necessary because OBIEE automatically runs a query as soon as an analysis file is opened. We want to prevent this behavior so users can review the file—especially the filters—before any query is executed. Please take a moment to update your OBIEE settings using the steps provided.
Instructions:

  1.  Log into OBIEE.


  1.  Click on the drop-down icon next to your account name (right-hand side of screen).

  1.  Select: ‘My Account’.

  1.  Within the ‘Preferences’ tab, change the ‘Analysis Editor’ setting to ‘Full Editor: Start on Criteria tab when editing Analysis’.

  1.  Click ‘ok’ to complete.
