Good Morning, All:
Two more examples of how local jurisdictions are implementing the new no-contact prohibition signed into law June 2, 2011 (HB2925).
Crook County: The presiding judge just issued an order that the jail will provide every D accused of sex crime/dv with a written notice that they are prohibited from contacting the victim while in custody, if released the jail is ordered to include a no contact with victim, and the defendant shall be notified that violation of the no contact is punishable by contempt.
Grant County: The jail/courts have started to give official notice/order at processing before arraignment has even occurred. Especially, useful for defendant's picked up on an out of county warrant.
