Regularly scheduled FVCC trainings will resume on Tuesday, September 17th.
Other Trainings...
August 15th, 2013, 12:00pm - 1:30pm I Part one of a three part webinar series: Assessing Patterns of Coervice Contro in Abusive Partnerships I Presented by the Northwest Network of Bisexual, Trans, Lesbian and Gay Survivors of Abuse, you may register for one or all three parts of this webinar series. If you attended the FVCC's June training, given by Lupita Mendez of Bradley Angle House, you may find this to be a great follow-up, expanding on some of the Northwest Network's materials and tools that were referenced that day.
September 11th, 2003, 1:00pm - 3:00pm I Online/Teleconference Training for Certification as an Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) Application Assistant I The ACP is a valuable part of an overall safety plan for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking, and their household members. It provides a legal substitute address that may be used with state and local government agencies so that perpetrators cannot locate victims through public record. The ACP forwards all first class, certified, and registered mail, and may accept legal process service on behalf of participants.
Advocates (employees and volunteers) who have completed (or will complete) 40 hours of basic, in-person DV/SA training, and who provide direct services to victims, including comprehensive safety planning, are eligible to become an AA. The certification is valid for two years and is renewable. The training includes an overview of ACP services, determining eligibility, and how to complete and submit an ACP application.
Currently certified AAs may use this training as a refresher since the materials and submission process changed this year.
To register, please contact Gail Mavity at gail.m.mavity at doj.state.or.us<mailto:gail.m.mavity at doj.state.or.us> If you are unable to make this teleconference but are interested in an in-person training at your agency, or a teleconference on another date, please contact Gail.
