Registration is now open for the 1st You Have Options Program Introductory Session.

The first train-the-trainer Introductory Session for You Have Options Program Participating Law Enforcement Agency certification is October 13 - 15, 2014 in Ashland, Oregon.  Placement in this training will be determined based on the order Introductory Session registration forms are received.

A minimum of one Program Administrator and one Program Trainer is required for each You Have Options Program Participating Agency to remain certified.  See below for the steps to take if your agency would like to join the You Have Options Program.

In an effort to provide as much useful information as possible in regards to the national implementation of the You Have Options Program a placeholder website (active until the new www.ReportingOptions.org<http://www.ReportingOptions.org> is completed) has been created to provide information on how law enforcement agencies can participate in the program.

Steps to take to join the You Have Options Program:

1.  Review the Roles and Responsibilities of a You Have Options Program Participating Law Enforcement Agency

2.  Submit the Intent to Participate form to the You Have Options Program Manager

3.  Designate Program Administrators

4.  Designate Program Trainers

5.  Register Program Administrators and Trainers for a You Have Options Program Introductory Session

6.  Train Participating Agency Personnel

7.  Adopt a written policy and procedure for the implementation and participation in the You Have Options Program

8.  Sign the You Have Options Program Memorandum of Understanding

9.  Join the national website www.ReportingOptions.org<http://www.ReportingOptions.org>


Recently, representatives from the Ashland Police Department met in Washington DC with several United States Senators and a White House Advisor regarding the You Have Options Program.  There was significant support for the adoption of the You Have Options Program by law enforcement agencies across the nation.
