Formerly the Marion County Domestic Violence Awareness Walk/Run, a new name and a new location will make this our biggest and best fun run yet!  Help us raise much needed funds to remember, honor and support victims of domestic violence. 1.  Have a plan.
Let's be honest, everything seems to be smoother with a plan.  And you have some guidelines to hold yourself accountable.
2.  Go longer.
Start with one workout a week and add a half mile to your normal course.  Then build from there.
3.  Include a few dress rehearsals along the way.
Every endurance run  you do is a chance to practice logistics for race day.  Tweak what you eat before, wear, fuel and pacing until it works.
4.  Make it social.
Statistics show, runners that run in groups show up more often.  A little thing called accountability...and maybe a little guilt.
