[DV_listserv] Legislation--reminder

[Domestic Violence issues]

Good Morning,

There are only a few days left until the start of 2016 when a number of new laws, many of them DV/SA-related, go into effect.

As a reminder of what some of those are, I've attached two documents:

1) September's  DV Prosecutor Newsletter which includes a legislative re-cap and lengthy discussion of SB 525 (gun dispossession bill)
2) Oregon Alliance Legislative Summary (Thanks to Sybill Hebb).

Also, last week I sent out information about HB 2776-Emergency Protection Order. The EPO forms are now available on the LEDS website. Here is the link:

Prosecutors: You will also soon be receiving an update for the Indictment Form Book which will include information on legislative changes. Among the updates you'll see that I've expanded the DV piece in the Introduction section.
