Please find below information on a great training opportunity. Although the training is hosted by APS and has a focus on elder abuse, the information could be very helpful in DV and child abuse cases:

Adult Protective Services is hosting a seminar taught by Dr. Dan Sheridan, a nationally recognized expert in identifying various types of wounds, alternative light source photography, and DV issues, who will address various types of wounds and their causation especially as applied to the elderly.

Initially, the venue was limited but because of the interest they have obtained a larger venue at Cross Roads Church, 2505 NE 102nd   in Portland. The training will be from 1300-1630 hours on Tuesday May 26th, 2015. Pre-registration is not required but will help them prepare so please email Sgt Musgrave if you will be attending. If a number of people from your agency are planning to attend, please have just one person contact Sgt. Musgrave with the number of personnel attending.
