A well-written article that reveals some of the basic truths about domestic violence: it can and does happen in any/every socio-economic group; it can be hidden (or consciously ignored by those outside the relationship) for years; and the tactics used by DV  perpetrators, regardless of age, ethnicity, and financial status, are strikingly similar with devastating results.
