Greetings,

First, I want to extend my thoughts to all those impacted by the wildfires burning across Oregon. I noticed ash falling in NE Portland yesterday afternoon, my car was covered with the sooty mess this morning, and the air quality in Salem, where I'm working today, is terrible. I can only imagine how things must be for those of you who are situated much closer to the many fires around the state. I hope you, your families, and your friends remain safe in the coming days as our firefighters, US Forest Service, Department of Forestry, National Guard, and many others work to contain the devastation.

I'm also emailing to announce that registration for DV Boot Camp VIII, October 23-25, 2017 is OPEN.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Initial registration is limited to TWO ATTENDEES PER COUNTY. If your county wants to send more than two people, please do the following: The two prosecutors who have priority to attend should register per the webpage. Contact information (email address and phone number) for additional prosecutors from the same county who also wish to attend should be sent, in the order of priority of attendance, to Michelle Long: michelle.n.long at doj.state.or.us<mailto:michelle.n.long at doj.state.or.us>

The names will be placed on a "wait list" in the order in which they are received. Once registration has closed (October 9th), we will fill any open spots from the names on the "wait list" and notify those people that they are able to attend.
