EVIDENCE COLLECTION GUIDELINES EXPANDED TO 120 HOURS

Important SANE practice update!




In accordance with the latest national guidelines<https://oregonsatf.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=5985612c05305c8533dee3392&id=465a86682f&e=dd61191de6>, evidence collection is now recommended up to 120 hours (5 days) after a sexual assault.

The SAVE Fund<https://oregonsatf.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=5985612c05305c8533dee3392&id=1871b51237&e=dd61191de6>, through Oregon DOJ's Crime Victims' Services Division, will now cover the cost of a complete exam (medical exam + evidence collection, plus certain medications) within 120 hours of a sexual assault. It continues to cover the cost of a partial exam (medical exam only, plus certain medications) up to 168 hours after a sexual assault.

The updated SAVE Fund application can be found by clicking the link below. Older SAVE Fund applications will still be accepted, but please be aware that the eligible timeframes listed on these forms will be incorrect.
