WHEN: Wednesday, October 24-Friday October 26, 2018

WHERE: Criminal Justice Division - 2250 McGilchrist St SE, Salem, Oregon.

WHAT: 2.5 day training program for state and tribal prosecutors handling domestic violence cases.  This training covers topics relevant for new and experienced DV prosecutors.  This year's training will include presentations on the Effect of GJ Recordation on DV Cases; Revenge Porn; the Effect of Expungements on DV Cases; Hearsay and Testimonial Evidence; Proving Unavailability and Forfeiture by Wrongdoing; Language of DV Matters; Case Law and Statutory Updates; Working with Victims and Adhering to Victims' Rights; and a Survivor Panel. COST: FREE!  Lodging scholarships are available for the first 20 prosecutors that sign up (if more than 50 miles from Salem).  This training is open first to 2 prosecutors from each jurisdiction.  Additional prosecutors will be placed on a waitlist and will be accepted if additional spots are available after October 17th.  This training is limited to a total of 30 participants.
