August 14th - Legal Resources, this webinar will provide valuable information pertaining to the role of tribal justice systems in addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking in tribal communities.

September 11th - Tribal Protection Orders, this webinar will review best practices for drafting tribal protection orders to meet the needs of victims, invoke the Full Faith and Credit requirements of VAWA 2013, explore enforcement issues and review some of the promising strategies for enforcement of protection orders in outside jurisdictions.

October 9th - Tribal Domestic Violence Courts and Dockets, this webinar will address how a tribal DV court/docket narrows the possibility of manipulation during the encounter with the legal system as well as the benefits and challenges of designing a tribal domestic violence court/docket, importance of protocol development and sustainability of a specialized court/docket.

An Initiative recently launched to Strengthen Tribal Response to Violence Against Native Women www.TribalResponse.org<https://tlpi.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2098ca541b563fa96b8822b3f&id=7c55170231&e=3de72eadb7>




The Tribal Law and Policy Institute<https://tlpi.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2098ca541b563fa96b8822b3f&id=435a139784&e=3de72eadb7> and partners recently launched the www.TribalResponse.org<https://tlpi.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2098ca541b563fa96b8822b3f&id=5a34b4f644&e=3de72eadb7> website a national initiative to provide tribal resources to end violence against Native women.

This initiative—Strengthening Tribal Response to Violence Against Native Women – will also provide training, technical assistance and resources designed to help individual tribal governments and tribal communities – that are not currently receiving Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) grant funding - enhance victim safety and more effectively address offender accountability. Initiative partners provide individualized training, technical assistance and resources to strengthen the response of tribal governments to effectively address sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. Initiative training, technical assistance, and resources will focus on:
