January 11, 2021 - Jackson County (Medford)
Deputies responded to a residence to find Joanne Marcella Wheeler (87) deceased from a shotgun wound.  Her husband James Edward Wheeler (88) was found in a separate part of the house with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  He was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.  Investigators believe the husband shot the wife, then himself, indicating that the wife had been in poor health for some time.

January 13, 2021 - Klamath County (Klamath Falls)
A family member went to the house to check on a couple and found them both dead.  Officers responded and found the body of Sonia Stanley (41) dead of a gunshot wound.  Her husband Richard Bellm (53) was found in the bedroom with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  They had been married for 18 years and had a history of domestic violence.
