 *   FY 2007 – FY 2009 Funding Status.  The delayed Wave 30 was released November 19th.  No waves have been scheduled for the Thanksgiving week, but Wave 71 for FY 2007 has been announced for the following week.  It is hoped that the Form 471 application window for FY 2009 will be announced this week.
 *   ESL for FY 2009.  The FCC has released the final Eligible Services List for FY 2009.  It is exactly the same as for FY 2008.


 *   Comprehensive Review of the Universal Service Fund: Part 2.  Numerous comments were received to an FCC Notice of Inquiry regarding the management, administration, and oversight of the Universal Service Fund.  This second article highlights the commonly-expressed comments on the need to more precisely define the document retention rules, particularly as applied to audit situations.


 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.
    *   The deadline for submitting reply comments to the FCC’s Notice of Inquiry on fund management is December 15th.
    *   FY 2008 Form 486 deadlines for the remainder of calendar year 2008.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief for November 4th.  This week’s News Brief continues the discussion of the competitive bidding process, focusing on Form 470 and RFP issues.
