 *   FY 2008 – FY 2009 Funding Status.  Wave 14 for FY 2009 and Wave 62 for FY 2008 will both be released this week.  Pending an FCC decision on roll-over funding, FY 2009 funding is still Priority 1 only.  Priority 2 funding at 87% for FY 2008 is still undetermined.
 *   Take This “Simple” CIPA Test.  Applicants who have been cited by auditors for not being able to document CIPA’s public hearing requirement are receiving requests for more information by USAC.  The questions asked serve may serve as a useful lesson for other applicants.


 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  Three of the eight SLD workshops scheduled for this fall are already fully subscribed; the schedule for Houston has still not been finalized.  The SLD’s most recent Tip of the Week offers assistance to applicants seeking Certified Technology Plan Approvers.


 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated July 24th – HATS Visits.   USAC reported plans to ramp up its “Helping Applicants To Succeed” one-on-one outreach program to serve more applicants (and service providers).
