 *   FY 2007 – FY 2008 Funding Status.  Wave 43 for FY 2008 will be released on March 17th.
 *   Preliminary Demand Estimate for FY 2009:  The SLD released a preliminary demand estimate for FY 2009 showing overall demand down 7.5% from FY 2008 (but still above the previous two years).  With at least $1 billion in previously unused funds available for rollover, Priority 2 funding at 80% and above may be available for the first time since FY 2005.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The response deadline for FY 2009 “No Cert” letters is March 23rd.  The new CIPA requirement for including an online education component in Internet safety policies applies only to schools, not to libraries


 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief Dated March 13th.  The SLD’s most recent News Brief provides an overview of the three levels of application review: initial review, final review, and quality assurance.
