 *   FY 2007 – FY 2008 Funding Status.  Wave 42 for FY 2008 will be released on March 10th.  Wave 79 for FY 2007 will be released on March 11th.
 *   E-rate Funding and the Bad Apple Syndrome:  The recent FCC action debarring three additional individuals from the E-rate program following fraud convictions highlights the ongoing funding problems the affected applicants have had as the result of the actions of these few individuals.  Additional funding may be denied or delayed for years, and recovery may be sought for earlier disbursements.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  As expected, President Obama nominated Julius Genachowski as the new FCC Chairman.  The 600 “No Cert” letters mailed by the SLD erroneously referred to last year’s application deadline.  The K-12 Educational Technology & Innovate-Educate NM Summit 2009 will be held in Albuquerque April 30 – May 2, 2009.


 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief Dated March 6th.  The SLD’s most recent News Brief reports the RAL correction process.
