 *   FY 2009 Funding Status.   Wave 28 for FY 2009 will be released on Tuesday.  There is no change in Priority 2 funding for FY 2009.  The FCC has not yet approved a reduction in the threshold to 80%.
 *   Responses to the FCC’s Request for E-Rate Comments.  Initial responses to the FCC’s broad request for comments on broadband, education, and E-rate are due Friday, November 20th.  We encourage schools, libraries, and services providers to comment in support of the E-rate program.  This article suggests key issues that might be addressed and provides instruction on the simple steps required to file brief or more extensive comments.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  Copies of training slides used in this fall’s E-rate workshops are available online.   New E-rate applicants must obtain FCC Registration Numbers.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated November 13th.   Last week’s News Brief discusses the steps that should be taken if an applicant misses a Form 472 (BEAR) invoice deadline or a Form 486 deadline.
