 *   FY 2008 and FY 2009 Funding Status.  Wave 24 for FY 2009 and Wave70 for FY 2008 will be issued this week.  There is no change in Priority 2 funding for either year.
 *   SLD Fall E-Rate Training – Part 4.  This week’s article reviews the procedures USAC follows upon receiving a draft audit report recommending a return of funds.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  As discussed in the last SLD News Brief, October 28th and 29th are key program deadlines.  The last of the SLD’s eight fall workshops will be held this week.  Sen. Rockefeller has asked the FCC to increase E-rate funding.  Requests for broadband stimulus funding exceed available funds by a 4:1 margin.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated October 9th.   Last week’s News Brief reviews the requirements for technology plan creation and approval.
