 *   Funding Status Update.   No funding waves will be released this week. As a result of snow conditions, the application window for FY 2010 has been extended to February 19, 2010.
 *   FY 2010 Applications: Still More Final Days.  Updated advice for applicants submitting and/or certifying applications this week.  As a result of the window extension, 135 more Form 470s become useable for FY 2010 applications.
 *   House Proposal for E-Rate 2.0 Act.  Rep. Edward Markey (D-MA) has introduced a proposal to: (a) index the funding cap to inflation; (b) streamline the application process; and (c) create three pilot programs involving home broadband access, community college and Head Start funding, and electronic books.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  Comments on the FCC’s proposed new CIPA rules are due February 18th. Cost allocations for the recurring and non-recurring portions of certain services may differ.  The FCC meeting to address community usage of E-rate funded facilities was postponed until this Friday.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated February 12: Item 21 Attachments.  Last week’s SLD News Brief discusses the preparation and submission of Item 21 attachments.
